1001 Ways To Save Money . . . and Still Have a Dazzling Wedding

1001 Ways To Save Money . . . and Still Have a Dazzling Wedding

The addition of wedding videography to a wedding budget for most couples is a necessary one. But looking at the prices for some packages and what they include does not always add up. When dealing with wedding videography prices, it is not just about what is most affordable. Often it is about what the couple wants.

Some of the ‘mile in the sky’ packages do not include what could be very essential to one couple so they tack on another $100+ to $500+ to include them.

Finding a package that is all inclusive is sometimes better than a la carte anyway, simply because sometimes the service you were on the fence about turns into something you love.

Prices tend to vary a bit by state but mostly by what different services offer.

Videographers generally offer a basic package that runs a couple from the higher end of $400 to about $1000. Basic packages are generally just the ceremony up to a certain amount of time, a few customized DVDs with personalized menu options, wedding credits and background music on the DVDs of the couple’s choice.

The next step up in packages usually has a clever little name and is between $1000 and $1300 which usually includes one or two more enhancements to the basic package and should offer more videoed time.

Then we have the ‘specialized’ packages. A lot of wedding videography prices from this point to their absolute top of the line packages can vary from $1300 to over $7000.

Packages that seem to be insanely high should not automatically be passed over however. Not only do these offer the ‘movie effects’ on your special day, meaning the quality of the video is unsurpassed, but they are generally ‘lump’ services.

The seriously high amount includes photography packages and a DJ. Not to mention that both were probably already on the checklist, and probably higher than the videographer. These packages generally also include guest interviews as well as interviews of the bride and groom, sometimes reenactments of how they met as well as the wedding rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, bride getting ready, the groom getting ready and so on.

The ‘works’ are all interchangeable at this point basically, and in the long run these higher end wedding videography prices can actually save you money.

Cinderella Wedding Supplies For Your Fairy Tale Wedding

The Wedding Book: The Big Book for Your Big Day

As a little girl, there must have been one story that you always imagined yourself to be in. Whether you were Cinderella or Belle from Beauty and the Beast, the concept of being a damsel in distress is one that appeals to many brides.

If you are planning a Cinderella themed wedding, you must ensure that you have all the Cinderella wedding supplies to make your wedding a true fairy tale.

For starters, you need unique wedding invitations. They shouldn’t be anything new age> they have to look romantic to stay in theme. Get letterpress invitations and choose a timeless font like Monotype Corsiva, anything that is curly and exudes charm. The invitation cover could be gold or silver embossed with a castle or even Cinderella’s pumpkin coach.

Once the invitations have been sent, it is time to think of decorations for the wedding venue. Your wedding venue should most definitely be the grand ballroom of a hotel. The decorations could include glass slipper centerpieces. You can even keep a string of pearls or some loose pearls around the glass slippers to make them look more elegant.

Your wedding cake should be pristine white with a carriage or a happily ever after cake topper. In addition to this, don’t forget a very Cinderella like wedding dress. Think about how a princess’s wedding gown should be.

Cinderella wedding supplies are available in most wedding favor stores.

You can even come up with your ideas and send hand written invitations to all guests if you have time on your side.

The idea is to create a rich, timeless look in the modern age – how you achieve it depends on your personal style. For inspiration, turn to Disney’s Cinderella. You can even have your brides maids all dress up like the fairy godmother and your groom like the Prince!

Tips For A Candlelight Wedding

Candlelight is often associated with romance – perhaps you light some candles for a special evening meal, or have candles decorating your bedroom or bathtub. But what more romantic an occasion could there be than your wedding?

If you want to go further than a few arranged as part of your table centerpiece, you could opt for a candlelight wedding ceremony and reception. Here your main source of light will be magical flickering flames making the event that much more intimate and intense. But if you are considering such a theme, what do you need to worry about?

Time of year

It is no good having a candlelight wedding in the summer months as it will not get dark enough until way past the time for your ceremony.

Time of day

Similarly you cannot have your ceremony at lunchtime even in the winter as again the sun will not have set. You will need to start the celebrations around the time the sun goes down. Bear in mind this will make for a late meal at the reception so warn your guests in advance or keep them going with light refreshments.

Safety concerns

Candles can be notoriously dangerous and having as many as you will need has serious safety implications. Some wedding venues may not even allow you to have such a theme so check early on.

If you do come across problems, think about flameless candles instead. If the venue is accommodating make sure you plan weeks in advance where exactly your candles will be placed (perhaps on windowsills or tables) and how many you will need. A dry run is definitely worth the effort to decide whether the light given out is sufficient.

Photographs

The low lighting given off by candles provides your photographer with a real challenge. Make sure they are aware of your theme well in advance although it may be worth tracking down a photographer with the equipment and experience necessary to pull off such a job.

There will be implications for you to help the photographer, such as standing still for shots longer than you would otherwise due to shutter speed and having very few group shots unless everyone is holding their own candle.

You can achieve a beautifully unique wedding with candlelight, you just need to be prepared for a little more thought than would otherwise be the case.
